Forward Together for a Better Ghana

Policy Proposal Submitted to Parliament

The Progressive Alliance for Ghana (PAG) has officially submitted a comprehensive policy proposal to Parliament, focusing on economic inclusion, anti-corruption, and youth development.

The proposal, titled “Forward Together: Empowering Citizens Through Inclusive Governance,” outlines a 12-point framework designed to decentralize decision-making, invest in youth-led cooperatives, and establish independent citizen councils to monitor accountability.

“We believe this proposal reflects the will of the people — and gives Parliament a chance to finally legislate with citizens at the center,” said PAG’s national coordinator during a press briefing.

Key Recommendations:

  • Launching a national civic education initiative in rural districts
  • Establishing a Citizens’ Accountability Commission
  • Allocating 2% of the national budget to youth cooperatives

The proposal has been received and acknowledged by the relevant Parliamentary Committee and is expected to be discussed during the next legislative sitting.

Stay tuned for updates as the bill progresses through Parliament.
