The Progressive Alliance For Ghana (PAG) is a young political party which is seeking to provide a serious and credible alternative to the two major parties that have dominated the Ghanaian political landscape for the last three decades.
It is a forward-looking political party dedicated to offering Ghanaians a credible and compelling alternative to the political status quo.
Guided by the ideals and enduring legacy of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, PAG is bringing together citizens from all walks of life around a shared vision: to build a happy, prosperous, just, and opportunity-rich Ghana within this generation. We believe Ghana can become a nation where every person has the freedom, support, and opportunity to achieve their full potential and live a life of dignity, purpose, and hope.
A group of Nkrumaists living in North America decided in 2016 to form the Progressive Alliance For Ghana as a platform for uniting all the disparate Nkrumaist movements at both home and abroad to keep Dr Nkrumah’s ideals burning and to eventually seek the mandate of Ghanaians so the mission can be implemented for the benefit of all the people in our nation.
Thus alliances were forged with several groups both political
and civic. In 2023, after meeting all the requirements of the Electoral Commision, PAG got its registration certificate to operate as a political party in Ghana.
The PAG will become a leading force in creating a united, disciplined, and economically transformed nation where agriculture thrives, industries flourish, natural resources are responsibly managed, strong moral values guide society, and world-class infrastructure drives sustainable development and prosperity for present and future generations.

PAG is committed to build a prosperous and self-reliant nation by transforming agriculture by producing our food and more for export, harnessing and managing our natural resources for the benefit of the people, promoting industrial growth by manufacturing all the things we use, strengthening ethical values, and developing modern infrastructure. We are committed to transparent leadership, economic empowerment, and creating opportunities that improve the quality of life for every citizen.
