The Progressive Alliance for Ghana (PAG) hosted a successful Civic Leadership Meetup in Koforidua, Eastern Region, bringing together over 150 youth leaders, civil society actors, assembly members, and traditional authorities.
Held on July 20, 2025, the event focused on:
- Building capacity in participatory governance
- Encouraging youth representation in district assemblies
- Deepening collaboration between citizens and local government
Attendees took part in:
- Panel discussions on inclusive leadership and community development
- Strategy workshops on policy monitoring and civic responsibility
- A breakout session on youth manifestos and advocacy planning
“We are raising a new generation of civic leaders who understand power, accountability, and service,” said PAG’s Eastern Regional Coordinator during the opening address.
The event was part of PAG’s National Civic Dialogues Series and received media coverage from local radio and community bulletins.
Future meetups are planned for Ashanti, Upper West, and Central regions.
